1. Pune athlete, Gangakhedkar, recently completed her second Ironman competition with impressive results. Her meticulous preparation paid off as she swam 3.8 km in a personal best of 1 hour and 11 minutes, conquered challenging terrain during the bike segment in 6 hours and 18 minutes, and finished the marathon portion in 4 hours and 38 minutes despite a pre-existing IT band issue.
  2. Alongside Gangakhedkar, fellow athlete Satyajit Joshi completed his first Ironman event in 12 hours and 45 minutes. Joshi, who previously tackled the Deccan Cliffhanger ultra-cycling race, emphasized the importance of proper coaching and medical checks before taking on such intense challenges.

Gangakhedkar, who transitioned from a banking career to pursue fitness after becoming a mother, dedicates one and a half hours to training on weekdays and up to three hours on weekends. She credits her success to her passion for fitness and the supportive community in Pune.
  4. Gangakhedkar shared, “Fitness is my passion and personal time. It has positively impacted all areas of my life, from home to work.” Her journey from banking to fitness serves as an inspiration to others looking to make a similar transition and achieve their fitness goals.
