Hey there, folks! It seems like sandalwood theft is becoming a trend in Pune, with several incidents reported in recent months. Just last week, a sandalwood log worth Rs 25,000 was stolen from Chhaya society on Law College Road. And let’s not forget the gang of eight who boldly uprooted a 70-year-old sandalwood tree from a bungalow on Prabhat Road back in August.

More thefts have taken place, including one at an Army officer’s residence in Ghorpadi Bazar and another in Mitra Mandal Colony. The stolen trees are valued at a whopping Rs 50,000!

Authorities are on the case, but as of now, no arrests have been made. Stay tuned for updates on this sticky situation!
