Hey there, students! Exciting news coming your way from Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). If you’ve recently taken the National Eligibility Test (NET) exam and are considering pursuing a PhD, listen up!

SPPU has just announced an extended opportunity for NET qualifiers to apply for PhD admission. But there’s a catch – you also need to have passed the Pre-PhD Admission Test (PET) conducted by the university. The deadline for submitting your PhD admission applications is fast approaching on November 5.

For those of you who took the Pre-PhD Admission Exam on August 31, you’ll be happy to know that the university has extended the deadline for updating the number of available PhD positions at various research centers. This means more chances for you to snag a spot in the program.

This year is special because the University Grants Commission (UGC) has allowed NET qualifiers to apply for PhD admission based on specific qualifying marks. So if you’ve made the cut in both the NET and PET exams, don’t hesitate to fill out that application form!

The UGC NET exam, conducted by the National Testing Agency between August 21 and September 5, has paved the way for eligible candidates to apply for PhD admission at SPPU until November 5. Just a reminder – only those who have cleared both the PET and NET exams are eligible to apply.

Ready to take the next step in your academic journey? Application fees are affordable at Rs 500 for open category students and Rs 400 for reserved category students. So what are you waiting for? Head over to the SPPU website and submit your application before the deadline.

Good luck, future PhD scholars!
