Hey, folks! Big news coming out of Swargate today. Pune Police have nabbed a 32-year-old man named Satish Dnyaneshwar Shirole for a string of mobile phone thefts in the city. The bust went down at the Swargate PMPML bus stop after officers noticed Shirole acting shady in the crowd.
When they approached him, he tried to make a run for it but was swiftly apprehended. Turns out, he had three stolen phones on him—a Vivo, a Redmi, and an Oppo. Shirole spilled the beans during questioning, admitting to snatching the Vivo from a woman at a bus stop and swiping the other two near Pune station.
But wait, there’s more! The police followed the breadcrumbs to a mobile shop in Kondhwa run by a guy named Mohammed Shahid Ilyas Ansari. They found a whopping 43 stolen phones stashed there, along with a laptop used for wiping data. The total value of the loot? A cool ₹7.45 lakh.
Shirole, a seasoned criminal with a rap sheet of six prior theft cases, is now behind bars and facing a slew of charges. The Swargate Police are digging deeper into the case under the watchful eye of top brass like City Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar and Joint Commissioner of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma.
Kudos to the Swargate Police Station team, led by Senior Police Inspector Yuvraj Nandre, for cracking this case. They worked tirelessly alongside Assistant Police Inspector Rahul Kolambikar and a squad of dedicated officers to bring Shirole and his accomplices to justice. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story!
