So, it looks like the state government in Pune has been playing musical chairs with some of its top IAS officers. Seven of them have been transferred to different positions, with Zilla Parishad, Solapur, CEO Manisha Awhale getting a big promotion.

Awhale has been asked to take charge of the Smart City project in Pune, while Kuladeep Jangam will take over her old position. The transfer letter from the General Administration Department was pretty straightforward, telling Awhale to hand over her responsibilities and start her new job ASAP.

And she’s not the only one on the move – Abhinav Goel is now the District Collector in Hingoli, Vinayak Mahamuni is the new CEO of Zilla Parishad, Nagpur, Satishkumar Khadke is heading to Beed, Saumya Chandak is taking over the Smart City project in Nagpur, and Pradipkumar Dange is now the Commissioner of Skill Development, Employment, and Entrepreneurship in Navi Mumbai.

With these transfers happening right before the assembly election, everyone is talking about what it could mean for the bureaucratic landscape in Pune. But for now, it looks like these officers have some new challenges ahead of them in their new roles.
