Shankar Mahadevan in Legal Trouble Over Loud Performance at Private Event in Pune
Renowned singer Shankar Mahadevan is currently facing potential legal issues following his recent performance at a private event in Pune. The event, which took place in the Bavdhan area, has sparked concerns among residents and led to a complaint being filed with the police.
The birthday party, held on a private plot near the National Defence Academy, featured live performances by Shankar Mahadevan and his son Shivam Mahadevan. The loud music and noise from the event were reportedly disturbing residents in the area, with the sound carrying up to 3-4 kilometers away.
Citizens who were affected by the noise disturbance called the police for assistance, but initially received no response. It was later discovered that the event was organized without proper permission and violated noise regulations, leading to further outrage from the community.
In response to the complaints, the Bavdhan Citizens Forum visited the Bavdhan Police Station to demand strict action against all those involved in the event. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 2) Vishal Gaikwad confirmed that an FIR will be registered and appropriate action will be taken in accordance with The Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules of 2000.
The incident has left residents in the area frustrated and seeking justice for the disturbance caused by the unauthorized event. With the police now involved and an investigation underway, Shankar Mahadevan and his son Shivam could potentially face consequences for their involvement in the private party.
