Hey Pune peeps, exciting news coming your way! Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has just announced the groundbreaking ceremony for the redevelopment of Shivajinagar Bus Terminal on Maharashtra Day, 1st May. This project is set to revolutionize public transportation in Pune and will be done in collaboration with private partners.

The new bus terminal will feature a modern design with a commercial complex, two basement levels for parking, retail shops on the semi-basement level, and a multi-level bus terminal and depot. There will even be a 16-storey building for government and private offices – talk about a major upgrade!

Pawar is really pushing for quality and timely completion of the project, directing Maha Metro and MSRTC to work together efficiently. He’s even planning to introduce 99-year lease agreements for PPP projects to attract top-notch developers – sounds like a win-win situation for everyone involved.

But that’s not all – Pawar is also focused on getting an ultra-modern bus terminal at Swargate up and running as soon as possible. The man is clearly on a mission to improve Pune’s public transportation system, and we’re all here for it.

The meeting where all these plans were discussed was attended by some big names in the transportation sector, including Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik and Shivajinagar MLA Siddharth Shirole. Looks like Pune’s future is in good hands!
