With Shivjayanti 2025 just around the corner, Pune City Traffic Police have rolled out a comprehensive traffic plan to manage the expected influx of visitors and ensure smooth traffic flow during the celebrations honoring Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s birth anniversary.

Key roads in Pune will experience traffic diversions to accommodate the processions and large gatherings. From Jijamata Chowk to Swargate, traffic will be redirected via SG Barwe Chowk, Jangali Maharaj Road, Khandoji Baba Chowk, and Tilak Road during the ‘Jai Bharat, Jai Shivaji’ Padyatra. Vehicles traveling from Ganesh Road to Phadke Huad will be rerouted via Daruwala Bridge, while traffic on Laxmi Road will be diverted through Sant Kabir Chowk and Samarth Division.

Temporary parking zones have been designated at strategic locations such as Sangamwadi Parking, FC Ground Parking, Nadipatra Parking, and Agri College Ground to accommodate the large number of visitors expected to attend the celebrations.

PMPML will implement alternative bus routes to accommodate the traffic changes during Shivjayanti 2025. Commuters are advised to check updated bus schedules and plan their travel accordingly.

A special ‘Jai Shivaji – Jai Bharat’ Padyatra will take place from COEP Ground to FC Ground, with traffic restrictions in place on FC Road and JM Road between 7 am and 2 pm.

To ensure a smooth and safe commute, Pune City Traffic Police advise commuters to plan alternate routes, use public transport, and follow instructions from traffic personnel. Emergency vehicles will be exempt from all diversions.
