Shocking news out of Shirur, Pune as another incident of gang rape and robbery has been reported. This comes shortly after a similar case at Swargate Bus Depot, adding to the growing concern over women’s safety in the area.
The victim, a 19-year-old woman, was chatting with her cousin brother on the roadside in Karegaon when two men on a motorcycle approached them. The assailants threatened them with a knife, physically assaulted them, and then forced the young woman to engage in sexual acts while recording a video.
The accused, identified as Amol Narayan Pote and Kishor Rambhau Kale, then allegedly raped the victim and stole her jewelry before fleeing the scene. The victim and her cousin bravely reported the incident to their family, who in turn contacted the police leading to the arrest of the two perpetrators.
Police are currently investigating this horrific case of gang rape and robbery, working to ensure that justice is served for the victim. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers that women face on a daily basis and the urgent need for stricter measures to protect them.
