The conference saw a turnout of street vendors, organization representatives, and TVC members from Pune Municipal Corporation, Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, and Lonavala Municipal Council areas. Among the attendees were Sagar Dahibhate, Kalokhe, Muskan Shaikh, Asha Kamble, and Mandar Dhumal.

Some key demands raised at the conference included the need for regular meetings of the Street Vendors’ Committee, strict implementation of the Street Vendors Act, 2014, creation of new vending zones to accommodate urban expansion, and more. Sangeeta Singh stressed the importance of unity among street vendors, emphasizing that their rights must be protected by the authorities.

Gurunath Sawant chimed in on the legal aspects, highlighting the need for discussions on street vendors’ rights at the legislative level. He emphasized that TVC members are elected representatives who deserve recognition from the authorities.
