Sundaram Home Finance is making big moves in Maharashtra, with plans to increase its total disbursements in the state to ₹450 crore for the fiscal year 2024-25. This is a significant jump from the ₹250 crore disbursed in FY24, showcasing the company’s dedication to expanding its home finance operations in the region.

To support this growth, Sundaram Home Finance has opened its second office in Pune, marking the launch of its sixth branch in Maharashtra. The new Pune branch will focus on the mid-market segment, offering home loans with an average size of around ₹40 lakh. The company’s first Pune branch has already disbursed over ₹100 crore in the past fiscal year, showing strong demand in the city.

D Lakshminarayanan, Managing Director of Sundaram Home Finance, emphasized Pune’s importance as a key market for home finance. He noted the city’s proximity to Mumbai and its growing infrastructure, driven by the influx of IT companies, making it a prime location for expansion.

In addition to Pune, the company is also focusing on Tier-2 towns in Maharashtra, where economic growth is driving demand for residential properties. Sundaram Home Finance plans to continue expanding in these areas while strengthening its existing branches.

Earlier this year, the company expanded into Navi Mumbai, where the response has been positive. The demand for home loans in the area has been strong, and the company is preparing for further growth by bolstering its team in Mumbai.

In addition to Pune and Navi Mumbai, Sundaram Home Finance has branches in Thane, Nashik, and Nagpur within Maharashtra. The company is also looking at opportunities for expansion in select regions in West and Central India, showing its commitment to reaching more customers and meeting the increasing demand for home finance nationwide.
