Hey there, folks! Big news coming your way about the closure order issued by the NGT recently. So, the NGT shut down this plant in response to a petition filed by the Sus Road Baner Vikas Manch. Apparently, the residents weren’t too happy about having the plant in their neighborhood. The NGT got it wrong initially, thinking the plant was part of a bio-diversity park. Turns out, that wasn’t the case at all. The court clarified that the bio-diversity park was supposed to be somewhere else, and the residential projects only started after the plant got the green light.

But wait, there’s more! The Supreme Court wasn’t too pleased with the residents’ suggestion to move the plant elsewhere. They pointed out that it would just be passing the problem on to another area. So, to tackle the pollution issue, the court has ordered a few measures to be put in place. By the end of the year, portable compactors with hook mechanisms need to be installed. Also, bitumen roads are to be constructed for clean waste transfer, and the reject area must be covered with a shed.

Looks like there are some big changes on the horizon for this neighborhood. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story!
