Hey there, Pune peeps! Did you know that some awesome young professionals from Team Yuva took matters into their own hands to tackle the garbage problem at Rajgad Fort? Yep, you read that right!
On March 2, a squad of 18 super motivated volunteers rolled up their sleeves and got down to business. They scooped up plastic bottles, wrappers, and other trash left behind by careless tourists. Leading the charge were Sahil Pawar, Tejas Wabale, Surya Kola, and Gaurav Lonari, who are all about fort conservation and responsible tourism. They even coined a cool term for it—दुर्गसंवर्धन (Durgsanvardhan).
Sahil Pawar, one of the team leaders, made it clear that Rajgad Fort isn’t just some random tourist spot—it’s a piece of Maharashtra’s history that we all need to look after. Preach, Sahil!
These awesome volunteers didn’t stop at cleaning up. They also chatted with visitors, spreading the word about the importance of keeping our historic sites spick and span. Team Yuva is on a mission to get more folks involved in preserving our cultural heritage, and they’re not stopping anytime soon. More clean-up drives are in the works, and they want YOU to get in on the action.
So, if you’re keen to join the fort-saving squad, keep an eye out for updates from Team Yuva. Let’s show some love to Maharashtra’s forts, one piece of trash at a time!
