Hey there, folks! It looks like the Temghar Dam in Mulshi Taluka has been facing some serious issues with completing its repair work. Can you believe it has been 2.5 years and counting since the repairs began, and they are still not done? Yikes!

With the rainy season already here, it seems like the repair work won’t be finished this year either. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar had announced some revised administrative approval earlier this year, but it seems like that announcement has been put on the backburner.

Despite all these setbacks, the dam is expected to reach its full storage capacity this year. The dam, which supplies water to Pune City and irrigates a huge chunk of land, has a capacity of 3.71 TMC. However, there have been major leakages since it was completed in 2010, leading to the current repair work.

The Executive Engineer of the Pune Irrigation Project Circle, Kumar Patil, mentioned that the remaining work on the dam is waiting for approval from the Maharashtra State Government. Once the budget is sorted out, they can resume work and hopefully store 100% water this year. Fingers crossed that the state government gets things moving soon!

So, folks, keep an eye out for updates on the Temghar Dam repair work. Let’s hope they can get it sorted out before it’s too late!
