Hey there folks! It’s time for a quick update on the latest news from Katraj. Thousands of devotees have flocked to Pune for the Ashadi Wari Palkhi Procession from Dehu and Alandi to Pandharpur. However, yesterday, a mishap occurred on Katraj Kondhwa Road when a tempo carrying Warkaris from Parbhani overturned, leaving around 20 Warkaris injured. But don’t worry, all the injured individuals are currently receiving treatment.

Prayagbai Narayan Bokhare, a 72-year-old resident of Parbhani, wasted no time in filing a complaint at Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station. The tempo driver, identified as Laxmanrao Chopade, also hails from Parbhani.

The Warkaris from Parbhani were on their way to participate in the Palkhi ceremony of Jagatguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj and Sant Shreshta Dnyaneshwar Maharaj when the accident took place. As the tempo made its way through Katraj-Kondhwa Road, Chopade unfortunately lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn. Thankfully, the injuries sustained by the 20 passengers were minor. Bokhare himself suffered injuries to his head and hand, along with a fractured wrist. Senior Police Inspector Dashrath Patil from Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station quickly arrived at the scene to assess the situation.
