Pune was hit by a series of thefts during a peace rally supporting Maratha reservation, with thieves making off with over ₹9 lakh worth of valuables. The rally, organized by activist Manoj Jarange-Patil, attracted a large crowd, providing the perfect opportunity for criminals to strike.

One victim, Pranay Laxman Palaskar, had his gold chain worth ₹92,000 snatched from him near Phutka Buruj on Bajirao Road. Another incident involved Prakash Suresh Suryawanshi and his friend being robbed of a gold chain worth ₹85,000 in Sarasbaug. Balasaheb Dnyaneshwar Pilaware also fell victim to theft, losing ₹57,500 in cash at Jedhe Chowk in Swargate.

Two other victims, Satyawan Laxman Jagtap and Deepak Bapu Bandal, had gold chains worth ₹3,30,000 stolen from them at Jedhe Chowk as well. Police are investigating these cases to track down the culprits and recover the stolen valuables. Stay safe and vigilant, Pune!
