Hey there, folks! It’s been a wet and wild time in Lonavala recently, with the low-lying areas of this popular hill station getting hit hard by some serious rain. The roads have turned into makeshift rivers, making it a real challenge for residents to get around. Imagine trying to navigate your way to work when the streets are submerged in water – not fun at all!

In just the past day, Lonavala has been drenched with a whopping 275 mm of rainfall, making it the heaviest downpour of the season so far. That’s a whole lot of water coming down in a short amount of time!

But the real nail-biter came when 20 to 22 tourists found themselves trapped in a bungalow in Malavli, a town near Lonavala. Thankfully, the Shivdurg Mitra Lonavala Rescue Team swooped in to save the day and successfully evacuated these stranded visitors. Can you imagine being cozy inside a bungalow, only to step outside and find yourself knee-deep in floodwater? Yikes!

Luckily, all the tourists were safely rescued and are now out of harm’s way. It just goes to show that when nature throws a curveball, there are always heroes ready to step up and lend a helping hand. Stay safe out there, Lonavala!
