Heads up, folks! The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has some important maintenance work lined up for the Yashwantrao Chavan Mumbai-Pune Expressway. On May 23, 2024, they’ll be conducting technical inspections and repairs of gantries under the Highway Traffic Management System at kilometer 6.000 on the Pune-Mumbai route.
So, if you’re planning on hitting the road that day, be prepared for a little detour. From 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM, the Pune-Mumbai route will be completely closed. All vehicles will be diverted towards Pune via National Highway 48 through Shedung and Khopoli. Heavy vehicles will be rerouted to the Khalapur toll naka at KM 32.500 and then directed to National Highway 48 through Shedung toll naka to Mumbai.
For those wondering about diversion routes, all vehicles need to head towards Khopoli exit at KM 39.800 and take National Highway 48 via Khopoli city to Shedung Toll Naka to Mumbai. Heavy vehicles, on the other hand, should make their way to the Khalapur toll naka, last lane to Khalapur exit KM 32.500, and then follow National Highway 48 to Shedung toll naka to Mumbai.
