Hey there, Pune! Get ready for some traffic changes in Yerwada tomorrow as Defence Minister Rajnath Singh gears up to attend the Army Day parade at the BEG ground. The Pune Traffic Police have announced a bunch of restrictions to make way for the event, so here’s what you need to know.

From 7 am to 11 am, there will be a ban on all vehicles on both sides of the road between Alandi Road Chowk, Chandrama Chowk, and Holkar Bridge. Heavy vehicles coming from Harris Bridge in Khadki, Kharadi Bypass on Nagar Road, Shastri Nagar Chowk, Shadalbaba Chowk, and Vishrantwadi Chowk will also face restrictions from 6 am to 11 pm.

DCP Amol Zende is advising commuters to find alternative routes. Traffic from Shadalbaba Chowk to Chandrama Chowk in Yerwada towards Khadki will be closed, so make sure to reroute through Dr. Ambedkar Chowk, Alandi Chowk, Sapras Police Chowki in Vishrantwadi, and Old Holkar Bridge.

Vehicles heading from Vishrantwadi to Khadki via Holkar Bridge should take a detour through Vishrantwadi, Sapras Police Chowki, and Old Holkar Bridge. Traffic from Bopodi Chowk, Khadki Bazaar, and Church Chowk to Holkar Bridge and Yerwada will be redirected via Patil Estate and Wakdewadi.

And don’t forget, the underpass near the Egg Hatchery (Poultry Chowk) on the old Mumbai-Pune Road to Khadki Bazaar will be closed during the restrictions. So plan your travel ahead of time to avoid any hiccups. Stay safe and happy commuting!
