Kasba Peth is gearing up for Mahashivratri celebrations at the Punyeshwar Temple, but with the festivities comes some traffic restrictions. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Amol Zende has announced that from 6 pm to midnight today, certain roads near the temple, such as Agarwal Talim Road, will be closed to traffic. To avoid any congestion, commuters are advised to use alternative routes.
After 6 pm, there will be several religious events taking place in the temple area, leading to the need for traffic diversions. If you’re traveling from Kumbharves Chowk to Phadke Haud Chowk, consider taking the alternative route via Gadgil Putla Chowk and Jijamata Chowk. And for those going from Surya Hospital to Pawale Chowk through Agarwal Talim Road, it’s best to reroute through Jijamata Chowk and Ganesh Road.
If your journey takes you from Phadke Haud Chowk to Kumbharves Chowk, the recommended route is via Ganesh Road, Futka Buruj, and Gadgil Putla Chowk. And if you’re heading from Kamala Nehru Hospital in Mangalwar Peth to Surya Hospital, make sure to go through Daruwala Bridge, Phadke Haud, Jijamata Chowk, Futka Buruj, Shaniwarwada, and Gadgil Chowk.
To ensure a smooth flow of vehicles during the festival celebrations, authorities are asking commuters to plan their routes in advance and cooperate with the traffic arrangements. Let’s all work together to make sure everyone can enjoy Mahashivratri without any transportation hiccups.
