Apparently, a contractor is in hot water over this incident. The pit was filled with water after heavy rainfall, and a group of girls from the Shilawat family decided to wash clothes there. Unfortunately, one of them slipped into the water, leading to a chain reaction that ended in tragedy. The fire brigade was called in to help, but it was too late for one of the girls.
It’s been found that there were no safety measures in place, which is why the police have decided to charge the contractor with culpable homicide. The Crime Branch Police Inspector is on the case and is looking into the matter.
