Tragedy struck in Shindwane today when a car carrying four individuals veered off the road and plunged into the water near a new canal. The incident, which took place early this morning, resulted in the loss of one life and left three others injured.
The deceased has been identified as Amar Sahebrao Ghadge, a 28-year-old resident of Junnar. The injured individuals include Ganesh Sanjay Thorat (22), Shubham Shankar Ingole (21) from Kesnand, Wagholi, and Aditya Mahadev Tavre (20) from Junnar.
All four individuals were in the business of selling goats and were on their way to the market in Phaltan when the driver, Amar, lost control of the vehicle near the canal. Local residents rushed to the scene and managed to rescue the victims from the submerged car. Unfortunately, Amar could not be saved and succumbed to his injuries.
The Uruli Kanchan police have launched an investigation into the accident to determine the cause and sequence of events leading to the tragic incident. Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of those involved in this heartbreaking event.
