Hey there, folks! Sad news coming out of Shirur today. A family tragedy struck this morning when a father and his two young sons lost their lives in a tragic road accident on the Chakan-Shikrapur Road in Pune District.
The victims have been identified as Ganesh Khedkar, along with his sons Tanmay and Shivam. Tanmay was just a 3rd grader, while Shivam was in 2nd grade. The trio was riding on a two-wheeler when a speeding truck carrying fodder collided with them near Pimple Jagtap village, resulting in their untimely demise.
Citizens who witnessed the accident quickly sprang into action, apprehending the truck driver and turning him over to the authorities. Suspicions arose that the driver may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
Sub-Divisional Police Officer Prashant Dhole arrived at the scene to investigate the matter further. The driver is currently in police custody, with charges pending against him. A medical examination will determine whether or not he was indeed intoxicated at the time of the accident.
