It was a devastating day for the residents of Mantarwadi as a young college student lost his life in a tragic accident on the Katraj-Mantarwadi bypass road. The victim, identified as 22-year-old Ruchim Mohit Kapoor, was a resident of Undri, Kondhwa.
According to reports from the police, the accident occurred on Saturday, February 22, when Ruchim was speeding along the bypass road. Near Mantarwadi, he lost control of his motorcycle, leading to a violent collision with a culvert on the roadside. The impact was so severe that the motorcycle was completely crushed.
Emergency responders and police quickly arrived at the scene and rushed Ruchim to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, doctors were unable to save him, and he was pronounced dead upon arrival. The police have stated that the primary cause of the crash was excessive speeding.
A case has been registered at the Kalepadal police station, with Assistant Police Inspector Vilas Sutar leading the investigation. Police officer Yuvraj Dudhal has filed an official complaint regarding the incident.
