Hey there, folks! Sad news coming out of Baner yesterday as a tragic accident claimed the life of a 19-year-old woman. Mukta Santosh Kale, a young resident of Balewadi, was killed when a speeding dumper truck crashed into the two-wheeler she was riding pillion on. The incident occurred at Ganraj Chowk around 11 am, once again shedding light on the issue of heavy vehicles flouting traffic rules in Pune.
Kale, who was in the middle of a beauty parlor course, tragically lost her life on the spot after being run over by the dumper truck. The rider of the two-wheeler, Shilpa Kamble, also suffered injuries in the accident. According to Kamble’s complaint filed at the Baner Police Station, the truck rear-ended their stationary vehicle while they were waiting at a traffic signal, causing Kale to be fatally injured.
Assistant Police Inspector Rutuja Jadhav is heading up the investigation into this heartbreaking incident. The police have already filed a case against the truck driver, who reportedly fled the scene after the accident took place.
