1. Tragic Accident at Kharadi Zakat Naka: Two College Students Killed in Collision with Truck
Last night, a heartbreaking incident occurred at Kharadi Zakat Naka on Pune-Ahmednagar Road when a speeding truck collided with a two-wheeler, resulting in the deaths of two college students. The accident, which took place around 10.30 PM, left a third student injured, as per police reports.
The victims, hailing from Latur and currently enrolled in a college in Wagholi, met with this unfortunate accident. The truck driver, Shyambabu Ramphal Gautam, was driving towards Chandannagar when he crashed into the stationary motorcycle at the traffic signal at Zakat Naka.
The impact of the collision caused all three individuals on the motorcycle to be ejected from the vehicle. Tragically, two students lost their lives instantly, while the third sustained injuries and was rushed to the hospital. One of the deceased has been identified as Adil Sheikh, while the identities of the other two victims are yet to be confirmed.
Gautam was apprehended by the police at the scene and was subsequently taken to Sassoon Hospital for a medical examination. The authorities are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding this devastating incident.
