Hey there, folks! It’s a sad day in Narhe as a tragic accident has claimed the life of a young woman and left seven others injured. The incident took place on the Katraj-Dehu Road Bypass Section of the Mumbai-Bengaluru Highway.
The victim has been identified as Vijaya Bajirao Padwal, a 29-year-old resident of Ambegaon Tehsil, Pune. The injured individuals, including Pawan Kahate, Vijay Ambekar, Sachin Manjabapu, Gayatri Mohite, Supriya Lad, and Sandeep Marathe, are currently receiving treatment at a private hospital.
The driver of the speeding car, Prasad Dilip Dhole, has been held responsible for the accident and has also sustained injuries. A case has been registered against him for causing the tragic incident due to his speeding.
The accident occurred around 12:30 AM when the car lost control near the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Temple in Narhe and overturned, resulting in serious injuries to all occupants. Police Constable Prashant Chate filed a complaint at the Sinhagad Road Police Station, and Police Sub-Inspector Akshay Patil is currently leading the investigation.
