Warje, 20th June 2024: A tragic accident shook the residents of Warje this morning as a young woman lost her life in a collision on the Mumbai-Bengaluru Highway. Jayashree Vasant Jadhav, a 24-year-old from Washim, was on her way to an exam in Pune when the incident occurred.

Eyewitnesses at the scene described the accident as horrific, with the road stained by the victim’s blood. Jayashree, along with her father and brother, was riding on a two-wheeler in a triple-seat arrangement when they collided with a Tempo Traveller at 5:30 AM on the Katraj Dehu Road Bypass Section.

The Warje Malwadi Police stated that the two-wheeler hit a pit, causing the driver to lose control. Jayashree, who was seated at the back, fell onto the road and was fatally struck by the speeding tempo traveller. She tragically succumbed to her injuries on the spot.

Currently, the Warje Malwadi Police are conducting an investigation into the incident to determine the exact cause of the collision. The loss of Jayashree has left the community in mourning, highlighting the importance of road safety and caution while traveling.
