Tragedy struck in Kharadi as a young computer engineer lost his life in a fatal collision with a speeding dumper on Tuesday morning. The victim, identified as Chaitanya Umesh Shinde, was only 23 years old and had recently started working at an IT company in the area.
The incident occurred at around 6:30 am near Reliance Mart, where Chaitanya was riding his two-wheeler. The dumper driver, who was allegedly speeding, hit Chaitanya, causing him to suffer severe injuries. Instead of stopping to help, the driver fled the scene, leaving Chaitanya in critical condition.
Despite the efforts of residents and the police to rush Chaitanya to the hospital, he tragically passed away from his injuries. The Chandannagar police have launched an investigation into the incident and have registered a case against the dumper driver.
CCTV footage from the area shows the dumper heading towards Hadapsar after the collision, prompting authorities to intensify their search for the driver. The community is in shock over the loss of such a young and promising individual, with many calling for justice to be served in this tragic case.
