Hey there, folks! Here’s some shocking news coming out of Shirur Taluka in Pune District. Three children were kidnapped, and unfortunately, one of them was killed. The victim has been identified as 7-year-old Gayatri Ranjit Kumar Ravidas from Vadagaon, Shirur. Absolutely heartbreaking.
Thankfully, Pune Rural Police were able to rescue the other two children, Kartik Ravidas and Abhijeet Paswan, both just 3 years old. The accused, Baban Rampir Yadav, a 42-year-old from Koregaon Bhima, has been arrested. Can you imagine the relief felt by the families of these children?
It’s reported that Gayatri, Kartik, and Abhijeet went missing on the 22nd of February. A complaint was filed, leading to an investigation by Shikrapur Police and the Local Crime Branch. Thanks to CCTV footage, Baban Yadav was caught on camera taking the children on his motorcycle.
The two rescued children were found in Bahul village in Khed Taluka, along the Chakan-Shikrapur Road. Yadav was apprehended right then and there. During questioning, he admitted to kidnapping and killing Gayatri. Apparently, he had a romantic interest in Gayatri’s aunt, but when faced with opposition from the family, he resorted to this heinous act.
Shikrapur Police are still digging into the details of this case. Let’s hope they get to the bottom of it and bring justice for little Gayatri. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
