Hey there, folks! Can you believe what happened in Budhwar Peth today? A truck from the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) fell into a sinkhole along with two motorcycles at the City Post Office on Laxmi Road. Crazy, right?

The whole incident was caught on CCTV, and it took the Fire Brigade over three hours to sort out the mess and remove the truck. Imagine being the driver of that truck – talk about a heart-stopping moment!

Apparently, the truck was from the PMC Solid Waste Department and was there to clean the drainage line. But things took a turn for the worse when the driver lost control while reversing, sending the truck and those poor motorcycles into the pit. Thankfully, the driver managed to escape in the nick of time.

PMC Commissioner Dr. Rajendra Bhosale shed some light on the situation, explaining that there was an old well covered with a slab at the site. When the heavy truck rolled over it, the slab gave way, leading to the whole debacle. The truck has since been removed with the help of cranes, and an investigation is underway.

But hey, here’s the silver lining – no injuries have been reported. Phew! Let’s hope they figure out what went wrong so this kind of mishap doesn’t happen again. Stay safe out there, Pune!
