Hey there, folks! Today we have a cautionary tale for all you train travelers out there. Imagine booking a ticket for a long journey, only to find out that you’ve been scammed by a fraudster. Well, that’s exactly what happened to passengers Deependra and his companion on the Jhelum Express.
So, here’s the deal – Deependra and his friend booked tickets for the Pune-New Delhi Jhelum Express, thinking everything was in order. However, during the journey, things took a turn for the worse when an altercation between passengers brought the attention of the Train Ticket Examiner (TTE). Upon investigation, it was revealed that the tickets were fraudulent and the passengers had been scammed.
But wait, there’s more! A similar incident occurred a few days later, with another passenger falling victim to the same scam. This prompted the Railway Protection Force (RPF) to swing into action. After some sleuthing, they were able to track down the perpetrator, Praveen Kumar Madhular Londhe, who was caught red-handed trying to pull off the same scam at the booking office.
Madhukar Londhe, as he called himself, was taken into custody and confessed to his crimes. The case has been handed over to the Government Railway Police (GRP) in Pune for further investigation.
So, the moral of the story is – always be wary of buying tickets from unauthorized sources or touts. Stick to official booking channels to avoid falling prey to such scams. Stay safe and happy travels, everyone!
