The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has recently made a breakthrough in a major cybercrime case, with the arrest of five individuals including Naushad Ahmed Siddiqui, Md Ujjair Shaukat Ali Ansari alias Sonu, and Piyush Subhashrao Gajbhiye. These individuals are currently in ATS custody until September 13.

The ATS has uncovered a network of cybercriminals and is now focusing on identifying the mastermind behind the operation. In a recent development, 77 additional SIM cards were found dumped near a nullah at Bhandari Bridge. This discovery adds to the 3,865 SIM cards that have already been seized out of the 6,820 provided by one of the suspects, Pravin.

Financial transactions are also under investigation, with Gajbhiye allegedly earning Rs 9 lakh for generating OTPs. The ATS is looking into connections with WhatsApp accounts and cryptocurrency transactions to further understand the scope of the operation.

It is believed that this illegal operation provided routing services to foreign countries, resulting in significant losses for telecom providers. The ATS is working tirelessly to unravel the full extent of this cybercrime network and bring all those involved to justice.
