This time, a pub was hit with a case under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for not obeying the orders of a public servant. This isn’t the first time this pub has been in hot water – it was actually sealed last year for repeatedly staying open past closing time. But, it managed to get back in business after a court order. Talk about a persistent pub!
- But wait, there’s more! Another pub on Kalyaninagar Road found itself in the police’s crosshairs for throwing a party on December 27 without permission. Not only did they have performers from all over the world, but they also didn’t have the green light to play any music. This pub has a history of bending the rules too – it was fined last year for serving food and drinks past the 1:30 am cutoff time. After being shut down for three months, it’s back in action. Looks like this pub just can’t stay out of trouble!
