Good news for Pune, Solapur, and Ahmednagar district as the water storage in Ujani Dam has risen to 50 percent thanks to heavy rainfall in the catchment areas. The dam currently has 52.58 percent storage, which is equivalent to 81.83 TMC. Only 19 TMC is needed to fill it to capacity.

This season, the Ujani Dam started filling up on July 26 and within just five days, 27.59 TMC was added to the storage. Currently, a discharge of 20,874 cusecs is being made into the dam from Daund.

The water level in Ujani Dam is at 493.460 meters with a total storage of 91.83 TMC, out of which 28.17 TMC is live storage. The current percentage of storage is at 52.58 percent.

This increase in water storage is a relief for the residents of Pune, Solapur, and Ahmednagar district as it ensures a more stable water supply in the near future.
