Pune is currently facing a flood-like situation, and the blame game has begun. Union Minister of State and Pune MP Murlidhar Mohol has pointed fingers at the lack of coordination between the PMC and the Water Resources Department of the Maharashtra State Government.

According to Mohol, the Water Resources Department released varying amounts of water from the Khadakwasla Dam without informing the PMC, leading to the flood situation in Pune. He flew from Delhi to Pune at midnight to address the media and express his concerns.

The Minister stated that heavy rainfall, coupled with the release of 55,000 cusecs of water, caused chaos in Pune. He assured that an investigation will be conducted to hold those responsible accountable.

Mohol emphasized that after the release of 40,000 cusecs of water, there was no flood situation, highlighting the impact of the increased water release. He pledged to gather more information from the Pune Collector and PMC to better understand the situation and take necessary actions.

As Pune continues to battle the flood situation, it remains to be seen how the authorities will work together to address the challenges and prevent such incidents in the future. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
