The recent event at Pune station saw the presence of Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, as platform number 1 was closed for the occasion. Plans have been announced to establish a new railway terminal at Uruli Kanchan to alleviate congestion at Pune station. This terminal will have state-of-the-art facilities for passengers, along with new rail lines between Karjat and Kamshet, and Karjat and Telegaon.

Excitement is building for the upcoming launch of the Vande Bharat sleeper train, expected within the next 2-3 months. The prototype will feature 16 coaches, including 11 AC 3-tier coaches, 4 AC 2-tier coaches, and 1 AC first-class coach.

While passengers are thrilled about the introduction of new trains, concerns remain about the frequent accidents and derailments. One passenger mentioned, “It’s great to see the railways introducing new and modern trains. However, authorities need to address the ongoing issues of safety.” Additionally, there are calls for urgent rake changes for trains like the Azad Hind Express.

As developments continue in the world of Indian railways, passengers are hopeful for safer and more efficient travel experiences.
