Pune’s political landscape is set to see a major shakeup as Vasant More, a prominent leader, is all set to join the Shiv Sena (UBT) party. After parting ways with the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) following 18 years of service, More is now looking to make a new start with the Shiv Sena.
Having recently failed to secure his deposit in the elections after joining the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA), More is now eyeing a fresh opportunity with the Uddhav Sena. With the support of Prakash Ambedkar from the VBA, More faced a tough defeat in his electoral bid.
Today, More is scheduled to meet with Shiv Sena UBT Chief Uddhav Thackeray to discuss his future within the party. It is speculated that More may have the chance to contest the upcoming Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections from either the Khadakwasla or Hadapsar constituencies.
