Over at the Shree Chhatrapati Shivaji Market Yard, a whopping 90 truckloads of fruits and vegetables made their way in from various regions like Karnataka, Gujarat, and Andhra Pradesh. From green chilies to mangoes, cabbage to beans, the market was bustling with fresh produce from all over the country.
Local shipments from the Pune Division also added to the mix, with everything from ginger to okra, tomatoes to cucumbers, and even flowers and pumpkins making their way to the market yard. It’s safe to say that Pune’s veggie game is strong right now!
In terms of prices, the wholesale market reported leafy greens going for Rs 700 per bundle, radishes ranging from Rs 800 to 1500, and spinach selling for Rs 1000 to 1100. While leafy greens may be on the pricier side, traders have noted that other fruits and veggies have managed to keep their prices stable.
