Vodafone Idea (Vi) is making big moves in Maharashtra to boost its network infrastructure. With over 4,200 sites in 35 districts being upgraded with L900 and L2100 technology, Vi is set to improve indoor coverage and data speeds for its users.
The expansion includes key cities like Pune, Nagpur, and Thane, as well as districts such as Kolhapur and Solapur. This upgrade will address coverage challenges in dense building areas and suburban regions, leading to better voice quality and faster data speeds on the GIGAnet 4G network.
In addition to the network expansion, Vi has introduced new user-centric plans in Maharashtra. The Hero Unlimited Plan offers features like unlimited high-speed data during certain hours and data rollover on weekends. The Vi Guarantee Programme provides extra data for customers with 5G smartphones, while the Vi Movies & TV App now offers access to multiple OTT platforms and live TV channels.
Rohit Tandon, Cluster Business Head for Maharashtra and Goa, emphasized the importance of these upgrades, stating that Vi is committed to providing the best experience for its customers. With these enhancements, Vi is working towards expanding coverage and offering innovative services to meet the evolving needs of its users.
