Hey Pune peeps, here’s some heartwarming news for you all! The Someshwar Foundation is honoring the memory of late MLA Vinayak Nimhan by launching the ‘Vinayaki Vinayak Nimhan Gaurav Scholarship’ for talented but financially disadvantaged students in our city. How awesome is that?
If you know someone who fits the bill, tell them to hustle and register for the scholarship by October 15, 2024, on www.sunnynimhan.com. The selected candidates will have a shot at an in-person interview on October 18, 19, and 20 at the Someshwar Foundation Office in Shivajinagar. The final distribution of the scholarship will be held on October 26 at Balgandharva Rangmandir on Jangli Maharaj Road, with some big names in attendance.
Last year, 368 deserving students were awarded this scholarship, and the foundation is keeping the tradition alive this year too. Not just that, they’re also offering an incentive scholarship to students who almost made the cut in the Class V and VIII exams. Talk about a second chance, right?
This scholarship covers students pursuing diplomas, ITI courses, and degree programs in a wide variety of fields. From Arts to Engineering to Journalism, if you qualify, you’re in luck. Late MLA Vinayak Nimhan believed in the power of health and education and wanted to make sure every student had a fair shot at success. The foundation has been doing some amazing work in the education sector for the past 25 years, from exam prep sessions to career guidance for high schoolers.
But that’s not all. The Sahyadri International School and Junior College, set up by Vinayak Nimhan in ’99, has been offering quality education without any hefty donations or deposits. And let’s not forget about the ‘Karyasmrat Free Maha-Arogya Camp’ that the foundation has been organizing, providing free medical check-ups and surgeries to thousands of patients in need.
Sunny Vinayak Nimhan and the rest of the foundation members have truly been carrying on the legacy of late MLA Vinayak Nimhan, making a positive impact on the lives of many in Pune. Kudos to them for their incredible work!
