A gang of young robbers in Pune has been arrested by the Vishrambaug police, with Sub-inspector Manoj Barure providing some insight into their criminal activities. According to Barure, the gang members, who are all unemployed, met through a mutual friend. The group, which includes a minor, would target lone two-wheeler drivers by starting a quarrel over a trivial issue and then snatching their gold chains.

During questioning, the suspects admitted to targeting five more two-wheeler drivers over the span of a month. In some cases, they had to flee when passersby intervened, while other times they found nothing of value on their victims. Interestingly, none of the victims had reported the incidents to the police, which led to the gang’s crimes going unnoticed for some time.

The police are now investigating whether the gang may be connected to recent robberies in Shivajinagar and Bavdhan, raising suspicions that other criminals may be involved in those cases. The arrest of this gang serves as a reminder of the importance of reporting crimes to the authorities, as it helps to prevent further criminal activities and bring justice to the victims.
