Hey there, folks! Big news coming out of Khadakwasla today as the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has announced their candidate for the upcoming Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Elections. Mayuresh Wanjale, the son of the late MLA Ramesh Wanjale, has been nominated to represent the Khadakwasla Constituency in Pune District.
This nomination is particularly significant as it marks the return of the Wanjale family to the political arena after a 12-year hiatus. Back in 2009, Ramesh Wanjale was elected as the MLA of Khadakwasla but tragically passed away shortly after taking office. Since then, his wife had contested the by-elections on behalf of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). Now, the MNS has decided to place their trust in the Wanjale family once again.
At just 27 years old, Mayuresh Wanjale is already making waves as a bit of a rebel within his family. While his mother and sister are aligned with Ajit Pawar’s NCP, Wanjale has chosen to throw his support behind Raj Thackeray’s MNS. He has made it clear that his top priority is addressing the issue of unemployment in his constituency by pushing for the establishment of a Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC).
In a statement, Wanjale emphasized the urgent need for job opportunities closer to home. He said, “Right now, the biggest problem is unemployment. I want an MIDC in my constituency. In Khadakwasla, there are so many young people who have to travel to Hinjawadi or Chakan for work. I want to create more opportunities right here so that our youth can build a secure future for themselves.”
It looks like the race for the Khadakwasla Constituency is heating up with Mayuresh Wanjale leading the charge. Stay tuned for more updates as the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Elections draw closer.
