The affected centers include Khadakwasla, New and Old Parvati Water Purification Centers, Lashkar, Vadgaon, Warje, SNDT Water Purification Centers, and the Bhama Askhed Project.
The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has warned residents that the entire city and its suburbs will be without water supply for the day. Chief Engineer of the Water Supply Department, Nandkishore Jagtap, has requested citizens to cooperate during this period and assured that the maintenance work will be completed within the day to minimize disruption.
Areas like Dattawadi, Rohan Kritika, Rajendranagar, Lokmanya Nagar, Deccan, Shivajinagar, Swargate, Bibvewadi, Mukundnagar, Katraj, Dhankawadi, Hadapsar, Kondhwa Khurd, Wanwadi, Kharadi, Yerawada, Vishrantwadi, and more will be affected by the water cut.
Specific locations under different water purification centers that will face the shutdown have also been listed, so residents can plan accordingly and store enough water for the day. The PMC has advised citizens to use water judiciously once the supply resumes on Friday, October 18.
