In a heartwarming initiative, young entrepreneur Punit Balan has decided to support the hardworking workers of Ganesh mandals in Pune. Balan, who is the President of Punit Balan Group (PBG), announced that Rs 3 crore will be made available to help mandal workers set up their own enterprises.

The announcement was made during a felicitation event held to celebrate the birthday of Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Mandal Trust Chief and Trustee, Punit Balan. The event saw ganesh mandal workers and Dhol-Tasha troupe members come together to honor Balan, who performed the ‘Aarti’ of Shri Siddhivinayak Ganpati at Sarasbaug.

During his speech, Balan emphasized the importance of mandal workers and their dedication to the Ganesh mandals. He highlighted the fact that many workers volunteer their time for over a month, putting aside their other responsibilities. Balan expressed his belief that mandal workers are the backbone of the Ganesh mandals and deserve respect and support.

The decision to provide financial assistance to mandal workers was met with applause and gratitude from the workers present at the event. Balan stated that the funds will be distributed annually, with 100-300 workers expected to benefit each year. He also mentioned that the funds will be increased with each passing year to help more workers establish their own enterprises.

The event was attended by representatives from various Ganesh mandals, as well as members of Dhol-Tasha troupes. The program included speeches from mandal workers and a vote of thanks by Shrikant Shete.
